Il s'agissait certainement d'une petite chaise en bois type luterma.

Assise de chaise cannée de récup pour recréer une chaise
Chair caned seat, saved for recycling, can be stapled to make a new chair.
Dimensions 44 x 33 cm.
This is the caned part of an old French chair, and it can be reused if you have some upholstery tools like a stapler, and know how to do it.
You need to find a relatively small chair, i e like the European or French chairs of the middle or beginning of the 20th century (like a Luterma chair for example).
But, this caned part can also be used for any new project. It's worth being reused because it's beautiful.
The wicker had been dyed, so there are different colors of brown, and you can redye or leave it like this.
